Hi there!

Welcome to my plant blog – I’m Natalie!

I’m going to be honest with you.

I never envisioned myself running a blog that was all about gardening and growing plants.

My background is in copywriting and book publishing. In a way – yes, it makes sense I spend my days writing all these blog posts.

But why write about plants and gardening?

Because gardening – whether you know it yet or not – makes the world a better place.

How, exactly?

Put simply, it helps people get through hard times; it’s therapeutic.

It makes people feel calm and happy and it feeds beautiful creatures like bees and hummingbirds; it creates healthier earth for us ALL.

I can’t tell you how many times people have written me to say that gardening has helped them through the toughest times in their life.

It’s why I love using this blog to share my personal love and experience with growing plants. Being just a small part of that is an amazing feeling.

I’m a hobby gardener who is always looking for more ways to incorporate live plants into my life via my home, yard, and even diet.

So if you’re here because you’d like to start a small garden or learn a few tricks about growing your favorite plant or succulents, then welcome!

You’re going to love caring for your new plants.

Gardening is, after all, America’s #1 hobby for a reason – it’s incredibly gratifying!

I know it can seem intimidating as a beginner because it’s hard to know where to start.

My mission with this blog is to make things simpler because gardening information shouldn’t make things harder!

Whether you’re looking to grow a flower garden, a vegetable garden, houseplants, or gorgeous succulents – I want you to know that it’s completely within your reach.

And yes, you can grow beautiful plants on your own without having to hire someone to do it for you. You can even tap into your creativity to use plants as home decor like I do!

If you’re still thinking you just don’t have what it takes or you weren’t born with a “green thumb”, I’m going to let you in on a little secret: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A “GREEN THUMB”!

ANYONE who wants to learn about gardening can be successful at growing plants if they put in the time and effort.

All you need is a little know-how and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Trust me, the reward is worth it. So let’s get you started!

If you’re eager to fill your yard with bright color, blooms, and texture, then my Flower Garden category should be your first stop.

If you need help learning to care for houseplants, these houseplant articles are for you

And if you love succulents as much as I do (I go crazy for them!) my Succulents Category teaches everything you need to know to keep these beauties alive and thriving.

Good luck to you and Happy Gardening!
Natalie
