In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until the dough comes together.
Fold in the finely chopped pecans
Roll the dough into small balls (about 1 inch in diameter) and place them on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden on the bottom
Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
