Pumpkin Spice Syrup

This homemade pumpkin spice syrup is made with real pumpkin, brown sugar, and classic autumn spices. Stir it into lattes, tea, cocktails, or pour over pancakes and whipped cream for an easy seasonal upgrade!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/3 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 teaspsoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Add the water, brown sugar, pumpkin purée, pumpkin pie spice, and salt to a small saucepan.
  • Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, whisking until the brown sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the syrup has thickened slightly.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Let the syrup cool slightly, then transfer it to a jar or airtight container. Store in the refrigerator until ready to use.
