If you’re on the keto diet, a low-carb smoothie can help satisfy your sweet-tooth, something many of us struggle with. Whenever you’re following a strict diet, it’s nice to know that the ingredients you’re indulging in are actually good for you, too!
I don’t follow the keto diet but since I love sweets (and so does my husband!), I figured that keto smoothies and keto desserts would help me control my sugar and flour intake. I was curious to see if a keto-friendly smoothie would be able to keep my cravings at bay, and I have to say – it does the trick.
Since we love taking advantage of our Vitamix blender, we’re all for experimenting with different smoothie and milkshake recipes.
The keto smoothies below all caught my eye when I was searching through Pinterest, and I’m glad they did. While most of them are also vegan (yay) some of them do list dairy in the ingredients list. As a passionate vegan, I always recommend using unsweetened Almond milk in place of milk that comes from an animal. It’s so easy to make the switch!
Now without further ‘ado, let’s take a look at the recipes below to see what makes each one so special.
